Itacurubi - Tuesday (Martes)

So finally we began to get our teeth into the work that goes on in the rural communities.
We visited a school in Itacurubi where there are 250 students. They travel from up to 10km around to attend.
After the school hours we ran a local activity project for one hour. This looked and cultural, social and economic issues that they may face and how they can resolve them. I am told that this is not a topic covered as part of their education system.

We play a simple game with the students, to demonstrate this. There are several small group which have been given money and the aim is to increase how much they have.
It measures how people react when they have money and what they can do for those around them, if they choose to do so.

The students all have fun and I get to see how Roberto works with these communities.

We spend our evening at the home of a local lady. She welcomes us into her home and shares everything with us. Out here in the rural area they live simple lives but this does not mean that they do not have a generous spirit.
